Noob question - frames more secure than noframes?

I have a question that popped up in a basic web class I'm taking - not sure where in the forums this really belongs, so I'm sticking it here.

My professor made the sweeping proclamation that frames are much more secure in a database application than in other websites, as this is superior to using XML to display the database data. Does this make any sense? Where could I find more information on this subject? Is this a true statement, and if so, why? I am admittedly on the very first rung of my web development career, but this doesn't seem to make any sense to me, as the display is irrelevant to the security of the application.

    But what do I know.

    What do you know?

    Thanks!

    Jon
