Can you please suggest me any book(SQL 2000 or SQL 2005 or SQL 2008) which contains the detailed information about the

a) Transaction Log (means the algo how transaction log stored data information during DDL or DML statements)

b) Pages and Extends, Detailed information about the all type of pages like Data Page, Index Page, and Text/Image Page.

I found number of article from the net but didn’t provide the detailed information.

Microsoft are very reluctant to give this information out. I don't hold to the conspiracy theory. It is more likely that it is just that documenting everything would be an enormmous effort, and they change the details of the way the transaction log works at every release.It just wouldn't be profitable for them to support end-user acess to the transaction log data. I've been trying for ages to get more information without success. 
There are tool vendors that make use of the transaction log information, but this is by a special commercial relationship with Microsoft.

No doubt Microsoft changes Transaction log in every release. can you please suugest me for online acticle/book for SQL 2000 only.
